My name is Bono f. Beeler, BCCSDip.Can.Bhv.Prac.I currently live with my four legged friends, Loren, Archie & Atomic. Unfortunately Cash & Del moved on over the rainbow last year. Working with dogs happened due to several large events which started in September in 2010 - the Christchurch Earthquakes in which I lost my Restaurant business. I looked at my dog Sam and thought, I always wanted to work with animals, even though I gave up on it early on when I was young after obedience and agility training where very outdated methods were taught. My studies since late 2010 lead me through behaviorism, pavlovianism, neuroethology to contemporary cognitive & systems neuroscience and into opening Canine Neuropark Charity Trust along side Elena Saltis.
S.CEN.T is really and Active Inference approach. That simply means that the way I set up consultations or sniffaries in a way, that the insecure / unsocial dogs predictive brains can easily error-update and create new more positive experiences. These will create better predictions the brain will use along side the rigid connections in the future. To establish such environments we have to ensure the dogs body is fit and healthy. That is because the dynamic and predictive brains main job is to anticipate & provide for the needs of the body's systems before these needs arise.
I constantly study alongside running SpeakingDog and Canine Neuropark Trust to ensure I provide you with the most updated scientific version of behaviour adaptation.
